I hold a B.S. in Communication Management and Design major with a minor in Sociology from Ithaca College. I have gained experience in multi-media journalism, social justice advocacy and organizational communications.

Co-Created the BFC out of need for a platform and safe space for Black creatives. Currently, the podcast is hosted in a rotation of two at a time, reviewing themes through their personal experiences and the greater facts at hand.

I edit the Monday Mini episodes in a storytelling format, co-host one episode once a cycle and coordinate host schedule + social media.

The Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival is dedicated to showcasing sustainability in all forms, whether that means ecological or cultural concepts. Through this highly competitive honors course, I produced written content for the FLEFF website about the state of the film industry and reviewing films from the festival.

CREA covers a wide range of entrepreneurial ventures, startup incubators and business competitions. From Passion Project Online, KINKS is hosted by two other students and I as we talk about being black women at a predominantly white institution (PWI). I reached out to Candace and April to be on the show with me because they are leaders and creators who target WOC through their work; this was an incredibly important aspect of creating the show so that it was ethically responsible for listeners.

NPR WKNO - Memphis, Tennessee

April 2018

From March 31st to 4th, 2018, I traveled throughout Memphis to cover various events by filming and recording audio interviews with local and national leaders (Bernie Sanders, Derrick Johnson and Reverend Al Sharpton). I was a part of the production of four stories - including a feature on the students in which I was interviewed for - and one Facebook Live on the IC Journalism Facebook page.

I assisted the Marketing Director in implementing and/or developing a marketing and publicity plan, including research, event postings, material distribution, production, social media management, as well as writing. A large part of this process was researching trends in theatre arts’ digital platforms and social media.

​Co-founded the organization as an empowerment media outlet dedicated to college students. Originally I acted as the Creative Director, in charge of aesthetics of the publication, making sure all works uphold to the founder's original missions. As an up-in-coming publication, I always keep my out for talent: Photographers, podcasters, graphic designers and writers alike. I implemented the podcast department to the organization, highlighting different corners of the college experience. I have poured my soul into this organization and I am so proud of all we have accomplished.

This committee was recreated from an earlier group, dedicated to supporting diversity in the Park School of Communication. As a student advocate working with faculty and administrators, my role is to share resources and programs to support the skills and development of minority groups. I believe it is extremely important for media creators to know that diversity is not a checkbox but a concept that requires empathy and ethical approaches.
